Saint Magnus the “Apostle of Allgau” was a Benedictine monk and missionary in Bavaria, Germany who founded the Fussen Abbey. He is one of the Holy Helpers invoked during plagues.  He was a contemporary of St. Columban and St Gall and is known to have helped local Barvarians clear land for farming and began a mining industry.
