Saint John Leonardi, an Italian who studied to be a pharmacist, but became a priest who's a model for today's clergy. He worked in hospitals and prisons caring for the sick, physically and spiritually. He founded a new congregation of diocesan priests, implemented the Council of Trent reforms, founded a Vatican department now called The Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples and published a compendium of Christian doctrine. He died while caring for plague-stricken souls.
