Saint Antoine Daniel, a priest, one of the eight North American Martyrs, was a French Jesuit missionary who worked among the Hurons and founded a school for Native American boys in Quebec. Fr. Daniel was Martyred by a party of Iroquois at the Indian village of Teanaustaye near Hillsdale, Ontario.
